Webmail Client
– Overview

MDaemon's^® webmail client, WorldClient is designed for use with almost any Internet-connected PC or phone with a recent web browser. It is compatible with Windows^®, Mac OS X^®, and Linux^® operating systems running browsers such as Internet Explorer^®, Firefox^®, Opera^®, Mozilla^®, and Safari^®. The included mobile theme provides easy access with BlackBerry^® and iPhone^® browsers, and many other phones.

The MDaemon Email Server stores messages and groupware collaboration data on the email server, thus centralizing all business content. MDaemon's webmail client allows you to share email folders, calendars with free/busy scheduling, contacts, distribution lists, tasks, and notes between users. When paired up with Outlook Connector for MDaemon* these groupware items can be displayed in Outlook and shared with other Outlook Connector users.

WorldClient can be displayed in 25 different languages, ensuring that your offices around the globe can communicate in their native languages.

WorldClient's LookOut theme can now display an optional summary or dashboard page. From the dashboard the user can view their inbox messages, tasks, notes, and upcoming calendar events at a glance.

MDaemon's WorldClient allows you to choose from multiple themes and colors, and also allows you to customize the number of messages per page, message sorting, fonts, type sizes, and more. The webmail client features customizable columns that can be enabled, disabled, or moved. It also offers specialized themes, such as "Simple" for optimized speed or "Lookout" for Outlook-like groupware collaboration.

WorldClient users can enter personalized signatures, set up "out of office" messages, compose messages in plain-text or HTML (including images), and spell check with its local customizable dictionary.

Users can also create unlimited personal folders and sorting filters, enabling WorldClient to automatically organize your messages on the fly. Auto filing includes messages by sender, recipient, size, content, and more.

Messages can be flagged for follow up and can optionally be sorted by whether a message is flagged or not.

MDaemon's webmail client allows users to search their Inbox and other mail folders (including tasks, contacts, and notes) by sender, recipient, subject, and content.

WorldClient can access personal and domain address books, allowing the user to share some contacts while keeping others private.

MDaemon's webmail client can easily import and export contact information as a CSV file through its user interface.

The included ComAgent Instant Messenger plug-in can run in the background and check your account for new mail by querying the server directly, thus eliminating the need to open a browser or keep one open to check your email. It also displays a list of your mail folders and the number and type of messages that each one contains (new, unread, and read). It can be set to launch WorldClient webmail for MDaemon and move it immediately to a specific mail folder, the first unread message, the compose page, or your calendar page.

The included ComAgent Instant Messenger plug-in can be used to provide two-way address book synchronization between MDaemon Email Server and the Outlook/Outlook Express^® address book on each user's local computer. Thus, if you use both Outlook or Outlook Express and WorldClient webmail for MDaemon at different times, the address books will match in both products.
